So, the title is self explanatory. Humsafar, as all the Pakistanis know already, is the biggest hit nowadays. Fawad Afzal Khan and Mahira Khan Askari as the main lead of the show have made the show a BOMB!! I remember whenever i used to see Blackberry Messenger or Facebook statuses about Humsafar, i used to think "oh another pakistani drama" and i CAN NOT believe that i didn't start watching it then and there. Curiousity aroused when my friend urged me to give it a go. So, there i was on a Saturday night, searching Humsafar on youtube and believe you me, i got hooked, i watched 5 episodes in one night and 7 in another. I became a crazy fan of Asher (Fawad Khan) after that. Oh how i simply adore that guy!
Along with the main lead, the title song of the drama became a smashing hit aswell. "Woh humsafar tha" sung by Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch became a big sensation across Pakistan and people were going crazy to hear it live. QB gave and is still giving back to back performances in different places where the USP is of course Humsafar. Recently, i attended two concerts of her one week after the other. One held at Beaconhouse National University. (Saying that, hey guys Bestival is coming up! visit www.bestival.bnu.edu.pk for more details). The other was held at Sicas which also had E.P. and of course the very charming Fawad Khan. These two nights were the best nights of my life!!

The last episode of Humsafar airs on 24th February 2012 at 8pm pst. DO NOT FORGET TO TUNE IN. All Humsafar fans would surely miss the show especially our very own Fawad Khan <3.
What makes Humsafar appealing to the masses is the realistic touch in its characters, reminds you of the good ol' PTV drama era!! Will be missed dearly!
ReplyDeletebatul khala i guess instead of drama the song is much more appealing... i think that the script could be much more powerful ... all the characters has somehow resemblance with the drama " qaid-e-tanhai"... just remind that serial once you will find resemblance with the script...anyhow this is my opinion ... i could be wrong!!!
DeleteShoaib i agree the script could have been more powerful. the storylne is nothing new, but the characters are well sketched and small details have been given importance throughout the drama and that is the USP. i haven't watched qaid-e-tanhai so i cant speak about the resemblance!
Deletelol whenever i hear khirad going "batul khala" it reminds me of my nieces.
