A new beginning

A new beginning is about my life as a university student at Beaconhouse National University. After my brother and sister left for England for their higher education, i wanted to follow in their footsteps. But as time went by, and they expressed their feelings about how much they missed all of us back home, i knew that i could just not leave my family, let alone Lahore. I always had a passion for photography and my family persuaded me to pursue a career in this field. After months and months of searching i came across BNU, the university offered a variety of courses, all of which were equally appealing, but the one that caught my eye was BFA Visual Arts. It had just what i needed : PHOTOGRAPHY! I applied just a few days back and as luck would have it I got in! Sir Davids words still ring in my ears "For someone so peculiar like you,we will take you!".
The SVAD Dept. was called in for their orientation session today. When i left in the morning, i saw grey fluffly clouds and just knew a beautiful weather was on its way. As i reached City Campus, rain drizzled over the area and as we made our way to the Tarogil Campus, the rain just poured like banging riots in london. After an intense battle with the rain and traffic, we got to Tarogil Campus. The Campus is spread over a huge area of land in the outskirts of Lahore. After 2 mins drive we got to our Dept. Beautifully constructed in red bricks, lush green vines hung down the balconies. Every corner had fields and fields of greenery.
As the orientation started we were told that we would have a tough year ahead of us as foundation teaches everything a university student needs to know and we should gear up for an interesting year with BNU. The techniques of video editing, picture editing, photography, drawing, history, reading, writing would be taught to us this year. As exciting as it seems, it would be a hell of a year for me! I hope to use each and every  skill i may not have even discovered as yet in myself to this course. InshAllah , university will be a turning point in my life and i hope to achieve everything i have ever dreamt of!
