Dengue Virus spreads like wildfire

Dengue Virus is one of the most deadliest diseases to have hit Lahore recently. The Virus occurs through the bite of a mosquito which causes fever, headache, pain, low level of blood platelets. Just last month it was reported that 689, yes that many, had been registered in Lahore alone. In Punjab, 770 cases were found. The Dengue Mosquito looks like this.

The virus does not necessarily kill its victim if proper care is taken of. It is best to drink papaya juice in this case or apple juice with a few drops of lemon added to it. But sadly, many lives have been lost to this deadly disease. From youngsters to elders, many have been taken to God. We could not have possibly ever imagined that an insect we used to kill would one day kill us! 

             They say death has no age which took away beautiful 19 year old girl Hamna Adeeb of LGS Paragon. Fear struck the heart of students all over the city which urged the government to close down institutions for 10 days to spray the areas with insecticides. Hopefully, we all would want those suffering to get well soon and urge everyone to use Mospel. Stay safe Lahoris!!
